Even Pirates Prefer Frozen Custard

Colin enjoyed a little pirate adventure at the Glen Echo Park this week. One of our dear wonderful friends bravely invited Colin to join her on a family +2 field trip all the way out in Maryland for a pirate show and park picnic. Little did we know but Grandpa used to go to this park and even rode on the same carrousel as Colin did when he was a little kid and it was a full amusement park. 

Its not a complete visit if we don't take Grandma and Grandpa to The Dairy Godmother at least once! This visit was no different.  They treated us to delicious sorbet, frozen custard and a whole quart of Banana Pudding Nilla Wafer custard! *Mmmmmm* We even had time to play several tunes on the juke box as the boys definitely tore it up on the dance floor.

And HUGE thanks to Grandma for hemming Colin's Storm Trooper costume. If the job had been left to me, he'd never have been accepted into storm trooper boot camp!
