More Birthday Celebrating...

Colin, showing off his mad lego army building skills!
We had a full house this week, and we all LOVED it! Namma got bumped to the guest bedroom and the Morrells took over the basement pull-out sofa guest en suite. The kids were in heaven "entertaining"  their grandparents with sophisticated humor like knock knock jokes and overly aggressive hugging.

Mom, can you see me?

We worked in the garden... as you can tell I've been a tad lax at collecting our lettuce.

Colin and Grandma had a great time picking out his special birthday cake which is a tradition that her mother used to do with her grand-kids and that is happily being continued with the next generation of grand-kids!

Namma started a tradition of "birthday adventures" with Will last fall when she took him on his first real train ride. This year she took Colin on a treasure hunt! Though the ever present rain that week dampened her plans for a trip to battlegrounds in Manassas, they still managed to have an exciting adventure in Alexandria! And even "found" three gold dollars dabloons, one rather derelict penny and a number of hidden water meter covers with the new metal detector that she gave Colin for his birthday. Colin loved every moment of it!

And then came the actual birthday! Grandma and Grandpa were so kind as to bring a suitcase full of Star Wars ships, fighters and literally cases of action figures from when Jim was a kid for Colin. I don't know who was more excited, Will, Jim or Colin! So many thoughtful presents, toys, books and a wonderful dinner at Los Tios! I keep trying to suggest other restaurants for their birthday dinner just to add a little variety but we always end up at "chips and salsa" which I can't complain cause its a favorite of Jim and mine as well.

I hope you survive enjoy the birthday photo dump!

I'm looking for two droids.

Thanks Ms. Linda & Mr. Fred! I'm ready for some night-time exploring!

Of all the "star wars" action figures, Boss Hog and Luke Duke were my favorite!
We finally have a Millennium Faulkner!

Inspired to order tacos after reading his new favorite book, Dragons Love Tacos.

Grandpa you are so silly.

Happy FIFTH Birthday!!

"I was told we could have seconds?"

Till Next Time,
Mamma, Frog & Toad
